Charlotte | 1 month

Welcome to the world Charlotte!

Here are the random memories from your 1st month of life:

1. She is so squeaky! We think all her little girly noises are cute.

2. Her eye lashes are so long and dainty. :)  Or at least they are long to me b/c Jack only had like 3 microscopic eyelashes when he was a newborn.

3. She was in the 90% for weight at her newborn check up- she was only down 3 oz.!
That's a full belly...
4. I love dressing her in headbands :)
5. Sleeping through the night at 9 days old! (She did not make this a habit, but I enjoyed a night of rest. ;). Occasionally we get a 5.5 hour stretch at night and I wake up a new woman.

6. Lost her umbilical cord on day 8

7. When she's awake she is constantly squirming and grunting, looking around. She's very vocal.

8.  She might set records for the world's most difficult child to burp.  However, she hardly spits up.

9. Needing a diaper change if she so much as toots in her diaper. She's very particular.

10. Calling her "Miss Charlotte" in the most southern accent you can muster.
11. Shooting a wedding with Corey and I at 3 weeks old.  (by the way, we didn't plan this- we were a good friend's emergency back-up.  Glad we could help!)
12. Partying during night time hours. :/. Meanwhile big brother has decided to wake up an hour earlier these days. The two of them are burning our candles from both ends.
Here she is partying at 3am.  EYELASHES.
13. It might be too early to tell, but i don't think you require the swaddle or paci as much as your big bro.

14. Taking a bottle at 4 weeks w/out skipping a beat.

15. She prefers the vibrating chair over her swing.

17. Charlotte has learned to go with the flow. She's been to a wedding, pool party, church, community group, the park, Walmart, play dates, a crawfish boil... We pretty much strap her in or on and go. Life as the second child.   I can't believe how busy we've been.
Here we are at Lucy's dedication on Mother's Day.  Who is she waving at?!
18.  You had this scary bump under your arm that we had to go to the Dr. about when you were less than 2 weeks old.  There was a risk that it was infection so we had to put you on antibiotics.  It was scary, but the Lord took care of you and all the tests came back negative!  God is good.

19.  Also noteworthy, it snowed when you were only a few days old.  (CRAZY)  We put you in your snowman PJs because it seemed appropriate.

I think that sums it up.  That was one of the fastest sweetest months of my life.  These babies grow up too fast.
